Libertardians Lose After Trying to Take Over Mozilla

Three members of the Board of Directors resigned when the rest appointed Brendan Eich, who is an anti-gay Libertardian Mormon, as CEO.

Apparently they don't care how many programmers leave.

Folks need to comprehend that a great deal of the talent supporting Mozilla is from California, which is traditionally one of the most gay-friendly areas in the nation. Pissing the gays off will pretty much sink any corporation that needs California programmers. It's kind of like starting an anti-Paul Bunyan campaign in Minnesota or an anti-Johnny Appleseed campaign in Washington State.

I wouldn't buy any Mozilla stock, and if you have any it's time to sell it. This guy is gonna run them into the ground and the major investors will take the minor investors' money.

A couple days later the BoD accepted Mr. Eich's resignation. The scuttlebutt is half the programmers turned in resignations. I hear individual board members are hunting out individual programmers and begging.

  1. 1) Mozilla is privately held, and isn't publicly traded. You CAN'T buy stock in Mozilla.

    2) Johnny Applseed has nothing at all to do with Washignton State. If you started an anti-Johnny-Appleseed campaign in WA, nobody there would care.

  2. 1. So what? And FYI, just because it's not publicly traded doesn't mean you can't be holding stock.

    2. So they don't grow apples in Washington? Who knew?
